The Soap Shed makes 130 varieties of handmade soap including goat milk soap, lye soap, shea butter soap and castile olive oil soap. Our handmade soap is created from scratch from raw ingredients imported from around the world, and uniquely combined with recipes created by us.
The handmade soap tradition is still well known in the Appalachian region, with many families still sharing first-hand memories of family members making their own soap in this geographically isolated and financially poor region. Not surprisingly, we heard requests for old fashioned, handmade soap for several years before making it. Because locals and regional visitors recognized and valued handmade craft, our efforts to create handmade soap using vegetable oils, goat milk and shea butter were well received, and The Soap Shed has grown and prospered since 1998.
Our Shea Butter, Sweet Almond Oil lip balm is just as delicious as it is moisturizing! Available in Unflavored, Brandied Pear, Mountain Mint, Lemon Cheesecake and Chai Tea.
Our Rose Shea Butter Gardeners soap is made in our shea butter and cocoa butter hand soap recipe, with stoneground cornmeal grits for removing grime and oil, and scented with Rose.
The package arrived. Thanks so much. I could not be more pleased and have already told the members of my old quilt guild from when I lived in Colorado all about you. I will be telling all the women that I teach beginning quilting to here in Michigan all about you. The Quilters Hand Repair Gift set met all my expectations and more. It is on its way to my Secret sister, I have shared a bar of my personal stash with a dear friend and know of one other friend who will appreciate a bar as well.
You have made a loyal customer. Thanks for the samples, great service and a great product. Best wishes and continued success.
