How to Order Soap Wholesale
Wholesale Soap Prices and Order Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in buying Soap Shed soap wholesale. We are a custom soap business, and we cut and wrap soap specifically in response to your orders. This allows us to offer you 150+ varieties of handmade soap in four different bar and log sizes, but also requires you to wait - usually two to four weeks - for delivery of your order. Most of your questions will be answered by the wholesale soap information provided below. All except wholesale soap pricing information, which is only provided if you establish an account with us. Providing your resale license and store address information will allow you full, immediate access our soap wholesale ordering site.
Please create your wholesale account at the bottom of this page, and NOT from the right hand column, which is for retail customers.If you register as a retail customer, the only prices you will be shown are retail prices. You will know that you have completed the wholesale account correctly when the upper left column 'transforms' into options like Wrapped Soap, Naked Soap, Logs and 24 Bar Collections. Click on each of those links to shop our wholesale section. When you return to our site on subsequent visits, you log in from the right hand column, and will be given access once again to the wholesale ordering section.
You may purchase our soap as either naked or wrapped bars, or in bulk soap logs to cut and/or package yourself. Some of our soap gifts, including our samplers, trios and twosomes, are also available for wholesale purchase now.
Please make a note that the $7.00 shipping charge for US orders that you see on the right column is for retail customers only! As you can imagine, we can't give wholesale price on our products AND pick up cost for the larger wholesale shipments. Our shopping cart does allow you to select product and explore your shipping options and costs (which are based on the weight of what you've ordered) BEFORE you complete check out. Both US and international customers have several delivery options.
Please also note that our Reward Points program is for products sold at retail prices for individual retail customers, not wholesale prices.
Please order online if possible Not only will you have the convenience of 24 hour shopping, but your shopping cart will detail your exact total and shipping costs. If you prefer to pay by check, you can still order online, and indicate during checkout that your method of payment will be by check or money order. You can then send us a check for the specific amount calculated by our shopping cart. We will begin processing your order upon receipt of your check. Minimum Order: Our minimum order is one 24-Bar Collection ($60.00, or $2.50 a bar) or $100.00 of mixed soaps. As special introduction to our soaps, we offer many different 24 Bar Collections to choose from. Collections are six bars of four different scents categorized by theme or use, like a Goat Milk Collection, an Autumn Scents Collection and so on. Odds are at least one of our themed Collections will be just right for you and your store. Our Collections are available wrapped or 'Farm Fresh' (as naked soap.) If you choose to order a la carte, you will see that our prices vary according to the amount of soap you buy: the more soap you buy, the less each soap bar costs.
All of our handmade soap varieties may be purchased wholesale, along with our Soap Samplers, Trios and Twosomes. You may also purchase our soap in bulk logs that weigh appproximately two pounds (28-36 ounces) and cut and package it yourself.
Order Processing Time: Naked Soap and Bulk Soap Logs are generally shipped within 7-10 days of your order. Wrapped Soap Bar Orders are wrapped in response to your orders. This process ensures that your soap is freshly cut, highly aromatic, and crisply packaged. Larger orders, and orders placed during heavier ordering times (like gearing up for holiday and tourist seasons) may take longer to prepare. Please keep in mind that once a batch of handmade soap is made, it must dry and cure for 3-4 weeks on our drying racks before being cut, wrapped and shipped to you. Timeframe for Wrapped Soap Orders In order to wrap our soap efficiently, we batch together the orders received each week. Orders received by 12:00 pm Friday afternoon each week are wrapped the following week. If there are holidays during this time period your order will be delayed.
This means that you should allow at least 14 days to receive a naked bar order, and at least 21 days to receive a wrapped order, depending on order size, the distance of your location from North Carolina, and the delivery service you paid for.
Payment Terms: We accept pre-payment by business check, money order, VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. "Payment upon Receipt" terms are available to governmental and non-profit groups with orders submitted to us in writing, and that contain appropriate authorizing signature(s). Orders can be shipped COD via UPS or FedEx for additional charge.
Return Policy: Due to the nature of the natural personal care products we sell, we cannot accept returns. If we ship something incorrectly to you, of course these items should be returned to us, and at our cost. We recommend that you buy small amounts of a fragrance or soap variety when you buying it for the first time.
International Customers Please Use PayPal: We are happy to work with you, and encourage our International Customers to use your PayPal account to pay us for your order. PalPal doesn't need to verify your address each time in order to process your order.
Shipping: All shipping charges for wholesale orders are actual shipping costs, plus insurance and/or tracking charges, and/or COD charges. The maximum $7.00 shipping charge on the retail site is for retail orders only. Small orders of 48 bars or less can often be economically shipped via United States Postal Service Priority Mail flat rate packages. UPS shipping is also available, and can be combined with COD payment.
Special Reminder: Although we always maintain a large completed inventory to supply our own retail store, website, and wholesale soap customers, we are not mind readers and can occasionally be caught surprised by a run on particular scents. That situation rarely occurs, but if it does, remember we are a handmade operation, and our product needs to be cured 3-4 weeks after it is initially made. The larger your order, the longer it may take to prepare your order. As your orders with us increase, please increase the amount of notice you give us, so there is plenty of time to prepare your order, or to make more soap for you should there be a need. Wholesale soap orders of more than 500 bars or large quantities of one particular scent will ALWAYS be considered a special order, so please plan ahead so we can make the soap you want. We appreciate your understanding.
To Open an Account: You can open an account online right now and receive immediate access to our wholesale soap pricing. You will be asked to provide your business name and address, storefront address (if different) and your tax or resale certificate number assigned by your state. If you choose to place an order with us, we ask that you fax us a photocopy of your tax or resale certificate when placing your first order with us. If you reside in a state that does not require businesses to have a tax ID number, please provide a statement of this fact on your business stationery so we have this on file for you. If you prefer, you can fax or mail this information to us.
We are required by North Carolina law to have your resale license information on file in order to allow you to purchase our soaps wholesale without being charged sales tax. You are welcome to browse all you wish, but please understand that we cannot not ship your order until we have a copy of your resale license on file, sent to us either fax, email or snail mail.
