Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, North Carolina for weekend and week-long workshops on Handmade Soap making. Both classes are hands-on soapmaking classes - meaning that after watching Tim demonstrate making the first batch so that you see the process and safety procedures used, YOU are the soapmaker! This fact alone makes Tim's classes unusual in the United States, because most 'soapmaking classes and workshops' are really only demonstrations that allow participants to watch and not make any soap themselves. Learning how to make soap under the guidance of a retired science professor is a rare event. Take advantage of the opportunity to learn from Tim, and learn by doing! The photo below shows Dr. T standing in front of log drying racks for our Mountain Scents and Shea Butter Facial soap varieties - and if you look real close, you can probably even read some of the signs! You probably don't want to make and sell as much soap as we do. But however much soap you want to make, no matter what kind you want to make - you need to learn how to do it correctly, and safely - both for yourself AND those who will use your soap.
