How to Order Wholesale Soap
Wholesale Soap Prices and Order Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in buying our wholesale soap. We are a custom soap business, and we cut and wrap soap specifically in response to your orders. We do not maintain a wrapped inventory of wholesale soap, so please allow up to two weeks (depending on order size) for your order to be wrapped and shipped.
All our bar soaps are available for wholesale purchase, so review the retail site for your options. Gift sets, bath accessories, lotions and salves are not available for wholesale purchase.
At this time, the online order area of our website is being revised. To order our wholesale soap and speak personally with us, please call our tollfree order line at 877-404-SOAP. Most questions can be answered quickly via email to info@soapshed.com. We are multi-tasking each day just like most of you, juggling making soap, processing of web & mail orders as well as walk-in customers at our own retail shop. So phone inquiries & conversations may need to be after hours or at specific 'appointment' times.
Please select your scents in multiples of 3 wrapped bars each, which are wholesale priced at a 50% discount off our retail rates.
Wholesale Soap Minimum Order: Our minimum wholesale soap order is one 24-Bar Collection ($72.00) or $100.00 of mixed wholesale soaps of your choice on your initial order ($50.00 re-orders). As special introduction to our soaps, we offer many different 24 Bar Collections for our wholesale customers to choose from. Collections are six bars of four different scents categorized by theme or use, like a Goat Milk Collection, an Autumn Scents Collection and so on. Generally we choose our best selling scents for the collections. Odds are at least one of our themed wholesale soap Collections will be just right for you and your store.
Wholesale Soap Order Processing Time: Wholesale soap bars are wrapped in response to your orders. This process ensures that your soap is freshly cut, highly aromatic, and crisply packaged. Larger orders, and orders placed during heavier ordering times (like gearing up for holiday and tourist seasons) may take longer to prepare. Please keep in mind that once a batch of handmade soap is made, it must dry and cure for 3-4 weeks on our drying racks before being cut, wrapped and shipped to you.
You should allow at least 10 - 14 days to receive a wholesale soap order, depending on order size, the distance of your location from North Carolina, and the delivery service you paid for.
Please note that we are in the process of changing our website photos to reflect the actual packaging of our soap bars, which is color cigar bands over a strip of corrugated cardboard. Take a look at the 'Stud Bubbles' soap page and that will confirm for you what your soap will look like. Photos throughout the site will be changed as we have time - we thank you for your patience as we take, edit and upload hundreds of thumbnails and detailed photos. In the meantime, please feel free to email us to request a photo of the color cigar band packaging, and we'll be happy to provide it to you.
To Place an Order: Send us your Resale License information via email We are required by North Carolina law to have your resale license information on file in order to allow you to purchase our soaps wholesale without being charged sales tax. You are welcome to browse all you wish, but please understand that we cannot not ship your order until we have a copy of your resale license on file, sent to us either email or snail mail, please. Please provide your business name and address, storefront address (if different) and your tax or resale certificate number assigned by your state. We ask that you provide us a photocopy of your tax or resale certificate when placing your first order with us. If you reside in a state that does not require businesses to have a tax ID number, please provide a statement of this fact on your business stationery so we have this on file for you. If you prefer, you can email or mail this information to us.
Payment Terms: We accept pre-payment by business check, money order, VISA, MasterCard, and American Express. "Payment upon Receipt" terms are available to governmental and non-profit groups with orders submitted to us in writing, and that contain appropriate authorizing signature(s).
Return Policy: Due to the fact that all orders are custom cut and wrapped for you, and the very nature of the natural personal care products we sell, we cannot accept returns. If we ship something incorrectly to you, of course these items should be returned to us, and at our cost. We recommend that you buy small amounts of a fragrance or soap variety when you buy our soap for the first time so that you confirm that it is what you want, and what you want to sell.
Shipping: All shipping charges for wholesale soap orders are actual shipping costs, plus insurance and/or tracking charges, and/or COD charges. The maximum $7.00 shipping charge on the retail site is for retail orders only. Small orders of 48 bars or less can often be economically shipped via United States Postal Service Priority Mail flat rate packages. UPS shipping is also available.
Special Reminder: Although we always maintain a large completed inventory to supply our own retail store, website, and wholesale soap customers, we are not mind readers and can occasionally be caught surprised by a run on particular scents. That situation rarely occurs, but if it does, remember we are a handmade operation, and our product needs to be cured at least 3-4 weeks after it is initially made. The larger your order, the longer it may take to prepare your order. As your orders with us increase, please increase the amount of notice you give us, so there is plenty of time to prepare your order, or to make more soap for you should there be a need. Wholesale soap orders of more than 500 bars or large quantities of one particular scent will ALWAYS be considered a special order, so please plan several months ahead so we can make the soap you want, so you have it when you need it. We appreciate your understanding.
